Wild Weekend

This past weekend, Adalyn and Mieley were thrilled to have their two cousins, Kinley and Tanner over for a couple nights. It was chaotic, but fun!

FRIDAY:

*Free* pizza at the park. Gotta love that!

After pizza, we all rode the carousel. Kinley and Tanner opted for the sleigh, while Mieley and Adalyn rode horses.

After the carousel, more fun at the park.

Miss Mieley
Tanner, all smiles!

SATURDAY:
The next day, after swimming, we enjoyed the afternoon watching movies and eating licorice. Yum.
Mieley decided to sit on the other side of the couch, by herself. Don't know why. Our neighbor friend, Chloe, also joined us. We love Chloe!

SUNDAY:
Here's the pig tail triplets on Sunday morning.
They kept their hair nice for oh about 2 minutes after this picture was taken!

Tin Cup Challenge

Race #2 down. Phew!

Yesterday, Danielle (sister in law) and I ran a half marathon in the 1st Annual Tin Cup Challenge. It's called the Tin Cup Challenge because it's a charity run too. It was in Driggs, ID, and a really pretty course. I could definitely tell this was their 1st race though - but I'm sure they'll get bigger and better every year. I didn't beat my Teton Dam half marathon time, but I did get my second best time ever of 2 hours 7 minutes and 13 seconds.

At the starting line. Just FYI, there were only 12 full marathon runners and 62 half marathoners. That's tiny!

And we're off!

Coming into the finish line. I love this part!

Danielle and I at the end. Adam was nice enough to come and support us and take pictures, but the camera accidently got put on the wrong setting and most of the pictures of Danielle and I at the finish line didn't turn out. Oh well, atleast we got some pictures. I still appreciate Adam coming too! It's so nice to see someone you know at the finish line!

Next up, Park City Half Marathon on August 23rd. No matter what time I get there though, I'm going shopping afterwards!!! :)

Reception

On Tuesday was my sister-in-law's reception. Her colors were red, white, and black, so the girls and I were the ladies in red again (like the 4th of July) and I have to say I thought Adam was very handsome in his black shirt. All in all, they had a good turn out, and I hope only the best for them.

The couple - Heidi and Brad. This is the only picture I got of them the whole night.

For the life of me I couldn't get a decent picture with both of the girls looking at me at the same time. There were too many people showing up to the reception and too many other things to catch their attention. They're still cute though, even if they weren't looking at the camera.

Memory Game!

Here is a fun little game... leave a comment on my blog of a memory that you and I have had together. It doesn't matter if you've known me for a short time or a long time, anything that you remember! Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It is pretty funny to read the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you are playing and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. On your mark... get set... blog those memories!

All Tuckered Out

So this week has been the week I've been avoiding for awhile now. We've been hiding out in our house now for 4 days, with only brief escapes back to the outside, sunshining world. What have we been doing???? POTTY TRAINING!!! Never a fun thing to do, but something that eventually HAS TO BE done. Mieley had about 10 accidents the first day and I was ready to say forget it, but the next morning she choose to put on panies again, and has gotten better at this everyday since then. It's been such a different experience from Adalyn - With Adalyn I could have a full conversation with her by this stage (mostly bribing her with candy if she goes in the potty). Mieley and I have conversations too - just I'm doing all the talking and Mieley grunts and points instead. Someday she'll talk I hope!

So poor Mieley, the first day we were potty training, she was so tired from being up sick the night before, that she actually fell asleep while coloring with Adalyn. It was so cute! The only thing that woke her up was that she wet her pants (again!) and I had to clean her up (again!)

Nonetheless, I've very proud of Mieley and I'm so glad that we've got this first week over with!

Happy 4th!

I hope everyone had a awesome 4th of July. We definitely did! It was a fun, fun day. We watched the Rexburg parade, had a BBQ at Adam's family's house, played a rousing game of water badmitton, and then lit fireworks that night. Adam didn't really get to enjoy much of the 4th though - it was hot enough that he had to deliver ice ALL day long. Bummer.

Here's some pictures from our festivities:

At the Rexburg Parade. The girls loved it, but it was hot! They each got a bag of with candy by the time it was over though!

Great Grandma Grover showing Mieley how to blow big bubbles.

More blowing bubble fun!

I think Adalyn finished most of the bowl of olives off by herself.

Some very cute 4th of July kids. Adalyn and Mieley with their cousin Daeson.

The ladies in red.

Here's what kept the kids entertained for quite awhile.

Here's what kept the adults entertained for quite awhile.

All the adults had to jump into their swimsuits too. Then we started the badmitton game.

Good clean fun. :)

Firework time. Adalyn and Mieley with their Grandma Grover.

I had to laugh with this picture. After the picture was taken above, Mieley wouldn't open her eyes anymore because she knew that the flash was going to be so bright. I don't blame her.
