Park City

Race #3 done! Yahoo!

Saturday was my 3rd race for this summer. It was in beautiful Park City, Utah. I really, really, REALLY wanted to beat my all time record of 2 hours 3 minutes 11 seconds, but instead I got 2 hours 5 minutes 14 seconds. So close, yet so far away!

Anyways, here's how I did:

188th place (out of 446) for all runners, male and female that finished the race! (Just FYI, 621 runners had signed up for the 1/2 marathon, but only 446 started and completed it! Wow!)
104th place (out of 298) for all female 1/2 marathon runners
30th place (out of 70) for my age division: Women 25 - 29

It was a good race and a beautiful course. We pretty much ran on a trail that ran over wooden bridges and by old barns and through trees. I would have to say that this has been the prettiest course I've ever been on. All in all, it was a really fun weekend. My mom and dad watched our girls (A HUGE THANK YOU MOM AND DAD!!!), so Adam and I got to spend the whole weekend playing. Fun, fun, fun!

Starting off the race. There was so many runners that they had to start us off in waves 2 minutes apart.

While I was running, Adam got to watch these hot air balloons. They're so beautiful. Someday we would like to ride in one.

After I finished the race. I like to pretend I'm tough.

We got some funky medals this year. They were "sun-catcher" medals.

I'm so grateful, Adam, that you support me through these things! I love you!

Happy Birthday Squirrely! You know who you are!!

Computer Crisis and Crazy Kids

Just stopping in for a quick hello before my computer freezes up again. Something is wrong and it's driving me bonkers! First my back up hard drive crashes, then some of my programs have stopped working, and now the computer just freezes up and becomes unresponsive a lot. BLAH! Lots has been going on lately, but I haven't been much in the blogging mood and my computer won't cooperate anyways. Just for news, I leave tomorrow to go to Park City for another race on Saturday. Maybe after my computer rests for the weekend while I'm gone, when I come back it will behave and I'll be able to crank out a decent post for you.

Here's a couple pictures to catch up on what we've been doing:

Since we haven't made it to the splash park all that often this summer, the kids loved it when we made our own slide in our backyard. It was pretty fun!

The slide was pretty slippery! It probably would be a little more fun if the pool was a little bit bigger! :)

Weeee!

Adalyn's been dressing up alot lately. She's so funny and creative with what she comes up with all by herself. Here she's a hula dancer/beach chick.

After Adalyn watched "Super Why" she ran upstairs, and put this on and became a "Super Reader!" That's her pajamas strapped to her back and an extra pair of underwear over her shorts. So silly!

Now swim suits on their heads? Seriously, I really don't know where they come up with this stuff.

Adam turned 31 on 8/08/08! What a cool day to have a b-day on. We should of played the lottery. An ipod nano for his big b-day present. And what has been done with it so far? As of yesterday, I've been putting some songs on it to run to during my race on Saturday. :) Hope Adam doesn't mind. . .. ;)

Well, here goes nothing for 1/2 marathon race numero 3! I'm hoping to beat my Teton Dam race time from earlier this year, but don't hold your breath.
