Dad's Day

Well the sun finally started to shine this last week. Hallelujah! I was starting to feel like I needed the sun as much as I need air.

Father's Day was pretty low key. We hung out at Adam's parents and enjoyed the warmer weather. Here's a few pictures of Adalyn, Tora, and Adam. Mieley's missing because she decided to go play at Great-Grandma's instead.

Up. . .

Up. . .

And away!! Adalyn looks petrified right there. She's so funny. Scared to death, yet squeals with delight!

There was a thunderstorm rolling in and with the sun peaking through the clouds, I thought it looked so pretty outside.

Tora was not having it for pictures. She screamed, and screamed, and screamed.

I think this picture of Tora with her Granny is sweet.

Tora: still unhappy. Adalyn's gathering up her flower bouquet. She loves to pick flowers at grandma and grandpa's.

See, I told you. Tora screaming again.

And again.

Atleast Adalyn was willing to let me take pictures. I was practicing with my new camera Adam got me for my birthday. I LOVE it!

So what finally made Tora's smiles return?

Chocolate! Courtesy of dad.

Big Bike

Here's Mieley on her bigger bike, showing off her skills.

Where'd she go?

I love that grin. Mieley's signature smile!

I have a SCREAMER!

Meet Tora the Screamer:

She screams when you are too near, not near enough, if she's happy, if she's sad, especially if she's mad, if she wants to share or not share at all, if she's hungry, or tired, or thirsty, if she wants held, or wants to be put down, if her sisters are not paying any attention, or too much attention, if she. . .well I think you get the idea.

I hope this phase passes quickly!

Teton Dam Half Marathon

Today, I ran my 8th half marathon. (My first one being in 2001) And despite the weather being cold and windy, I got my best time ever of 2:02:51. I really, really, REALLY want to break 2 hours someday, but I may just have to accept that fact that I'm just a slow and steady kind of gal.

Here's me pre-race.

June 12th, 2010 Teton Dam Half Marathon
Time: 2:02:51.9
145th place (out of 344) for all runners, male & female
66th place (out of 220) for all female half runners
11th place (out of 45) for my age division: Women 25-29

Since no one was able to take pictures during the race, I took a few after the race.
My medal

Love these Dam Volunteers.

The best sight of the whole race!

Rockin' that pink blanket!

The results: taped to the side of a trailer where you have to slowly work your way through the crowd to find your name and time. It's exciting stuff.

We started and ended at Smith Park

After the race.
Thanks mom for watching the girls for me!

I hope to do one more half by the end of the summer, but we'll see.

Take Off!

I guess Mieley decided she had enough waiting for us to teach her how to ride two wheels, so she grabbed a neighborhood's bike, and OFF she went. It was awesome. No one taught her at all how to ride without training wheels. She just did it. Now we just need to take off the training wheels on her bigger bike.

Here she is telling Dad the big news. She couldn't of been more proud. And we're proud of her too!

The Babysitters

I asked Adalyn and Mieley to play with Tora while I took the trash out. I came back to this:

Stuffed Tora right in the toy box. That's what big sisters are for.

28 and Feeling Great

On Wednesday, I celebrated my 28th birthday! The girls and I drove to West Yellowstone to meet up with Adam and then we hung out the whole day in West. We visited the Imax theatre, the Wolf & Bear Discovery Center, hit the candy shop downtown (yummy, yummy fudge there) and then went and saw "Beauty & the Beast" at the playmill. It was a really good day. "Beauty & The Beast" was awesome. We sat on the front row on the side and our feet were pretty much resting on the stage. The girls were so enthralled because the actors would come up and sing right to them. Adalyn kept saying all night, "They touched my shoulders!" and Mieley, "Belle's dress is soooo bootiful!"

Does this jacket look a little small? It's Tora's.

Big bears, but awfully cute!

Little bears. Awfully cute too.

Thanks Adam for the WONDERFUL day!
