Mieley's Big Day

Mieley is now the big FIVE. A full handful of fingers.  Now that's something to celebrate!

We had a "Rainbow" party with all her little friends.  We had the party at my house instead of the clubhouse this year, so we really decorated it up.  She loved it!

While we were waiting for her friends to arrive, I painted her toes and fingernails as a rainbow.  She got a kick out of that.

I made these "cupcake poppers" this year for her cake.  They turned out kinda cute I think.  A lot of work for such little cakes though.  I'm sure it would of gone much faster if I would of had more than just one mini muffin tin.

Party finally began.  We started with a color scavenger hunt.

Which resulted in finding a bag full of beads that they could then make their own bracelets or necklaces.

After that we had a skittle race where they had to get a skittle from one line to the other, but they could only use their nose/face to do it.  It was really funny to watch.  It's harder than it looks too -- go ahead, try it.

The last game was a color cake walk -- walking to, of course, none other than the song "Somewhere Over the Rainbow."

And then on to the presents!

She had such a wonderful day!  Thank you everyone!

We love you Mieley!  You're getting to be such a big girl!

The Kozy Kabin

February 10 - 13 we went to a cabin in Island Park with all of Adam's family.  It was (and always is) a lot of fun.

Here's a few pictures of the cabin we stayed at.  Talk about N.I.C.E.  We were all thinking that it had to be atleast a million dollar cabin.

So we hung out, and talked, and played a little in the snow, and ate and ate and ate, and then hung out some more.

And Adam's mom had her big 39th birthday - or at least that's what she would want us all to believe.  :)
It was fun to celebrate her birthday up there.

Adam started throwing Tora into the air, and she laughed and laughed and laughed.  It was cute to watch.

On one of the days, we tried to drive to Big Springs to feed the fish, (with the mounds of left over extra food we had up there) but unfortunately the road wasn't plowed the whole way.  So we ended up at the Elk Creek store and checking out this heart sculpture they made out of snow.  The kids loved it.

For these next pictures - we will call them Kaden, Danielle vs Adam.  I think they speak for themselves.

Brrrrr!!

Adalyn later snuck out that night with Grandma to check out this snow cave.  She thought it was great to go out in her pjs.  Definitely something she doesn't get to do at home - and that makes it all the funner!

Like father, like daughter here.

And this weekend was when we told all of Adam's family our news:

See how excited Ryker got??  Okay, it had nothing to do with our news, maybe just the fact that he was eating a delicious home-made doughnut!

But we had a wonderful weekend that went way too fast.  Family, food, fun - always a good combination!

Happy Valentine's Day!

The girls were thrilled with the stuffed animals Adam brought home for them. . . (yes, he is the beloved parent who spoils the girls!)

And I love the beautiful bouquet of roses that Adam brought home for me. . . (yes, he spoils me too!)

And don't worry, I didn't take a picture of them, but Adam got 2 pounds of hand picked Florence's chocolates.  Yum yum!

Adam got me a sewing machine for our anniversary this year, so I took it on it's maiden voyage and sewed these valentines for Adalyn's kindergarten class, and made some to Adam's family and my family as well.

We filled them will candy hearts.  Nothing says Valentine's Day like candy hearts.  

But, our family's Valentines had an extra surprise in them.  Read that poem closely!!

Yep, another baby is on it's way!
